Ford Focus RS and Mustang EcoBoost

2016 Ford Focus RS and 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost.


Today the deepening is focussed on a Ford Focus III RS and Ford Mustang VI 2.3L 16v Turbo EcoBoost equipped with Bosch MEDG17.0 ECU.


The engine has a direct injection system (GDI) with dual variable valve timing (intake and exhaust) and it’s completely produced in the Ford’s plant of Valencia, Spain. Both model, Focus and Mustang, equipped with the 2.3L EcoBoost are managed with a Bosch MEDG17.0 control unit.

The performance of the two vehicles are quite the same:

·    Focus RS 2.3L EcoBoost 345BHP (350PS, 257KW, 350CV) @ 6000 RPM, 440 Nm @ 2000 RPM.

·    Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost 312BHP (317PS, 233KW, 317CV) @ 5700 RPM, 420 Nm @ 3000 RPM.

The Focus, born in 1998 to meet the European market demand, in the previous RS (Racing Sport) versions was not afraid to show all its 345BHP. Not even onto the muddy roads of many World Rally Championships exactly with the WRC version.
